Ladies In Pink
Once in a while we come across ordinary humans who impact the world in extraordinary ways.
About Ladies In Pink
Ladies in Pink is the philanthropic brainchild of wellness warriors Angie Cowen and Romina Di Federico.
When gluten free catering and education specialist Angie (Love Life and Gluten Free) and yoga teacher and transformation coach Romina (Inhale Life by Romina) came together one fateful day in 2012, it was inevitable that something magical would eventuate.
Fuelled by a passion to support individuals facing trauma and illness in their lives, Ladies In Pink was born.
Since 2013 Angie and Romina have held annual High Tea Events in Sydney that have featured guest speakers informing and entertaining packed houses.
Proceeds from the High Teas have gone to two organisations focused on breast cancer research – The Cancer Council and the Garvan Institute via Love Your Sister.

Simon and Kate MacRae
Simon and Kate MacRae are a married couple with four kids who have faced the many difficult challenges that cancer brings to a family’s life. After the removal of her first brain tumour in 2009, Kate was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of brain cancer, a Grade IV Glioblastoma in 2012.
After a second successful brain surgery followed by chemo and radio, they pursued radical new immunotherapy in Germany, pulling the kids out of school, packing up business and house and moving over for six months.
What they learnt and experienced at Quest for Life provided them with the tools and perspective to not only find the silver lining of their cancer safari over the last few years but what they like to call the platinum core. Ultimately, their best life.
They now hope to inspire others to reap the rewards of living life with presence.
The Quest for Life Project
About Quest for Life
Registered charity, Quest for Life, a very special wellness retreat centre based in Bundanoon, NSW will be the recipient of Ladies in Pink’s efforts this year.
Founded by Petrea King, Quest for Life runs retreats and community-based workshops for people facing cancer, grief, AIDS, depression, anxiety and other traumas.
These retreats and workshops provide a proven, effective and holistic approach to strengthening the participants’ physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Importantly, they encourage, educate and empower participants to develop emotional resilience and peace of mind in times of great need.
The Project
Massage is an integral element of Quest’s programme. It has been proven time and again that touch and remedial massage helps people to release and process these emotions.
Currently, Quest does not have enough space to treat each retreat participant in this manner and desperately needs to renovate an existing out-building to create a designated therapy space for retreat participants.
$33,000 required
This year Ladies in Pink is seeking to raise $33,000 through its High Tea as well as individual Host a Dinner events.
The majority of these monies will go towards subsidising people who require financial assistance to attend a Quest retreat while a percentage of these funds with go towards the building project.
To ensure the success of the building project corporate sponsorship, financial donations and donations of building materials and trade worker skills are required.
What’s needed?
Ladies in Pink is seeking sponsorship, financial donations and donations of any tangible building materials or people skills to ensure the success of Quest’s renovation project. Any publicity will help the project enormously.
The project will be filmed throughout and will be launched and celebrated at the Ladies in Pink High Tea on October 18.
Host a Dinner
This year Ladies in Pink is also encouraging individuals who wish to be involved to Host a Dinner to raise funds for Quest.
If you are keen, register your dinner with Ladies in Pink, gather your friends, cook them dinner, have a great time and raise money for Quest!
Ladies in Pink suggests you charge $30 per head to raise funds for this project.
